2011 Highlights and Recognition
Highlights of 2011 achievements include:

- US Army Hawaii – DAWSON is proud to announce the award of the Grounds Maintenance Contract for US Army Garrison, Hawaii. Under this contract, DAWSON will serve as the Prime contractor responsible for the maintenance of US Army lands throughout Oahu. This also includes the Makua Valley which, given the cultural significance of that land, affords DAWSON the opportunity to support our Native Hawaiian Community by ensuring we maintain the utmost discretion and sensitivities when working in these lands. To achieve this, DAWSON welcomes Mr. Kekaulike Mar who is a Native Hawaiian cultural expert and will lead our operations on this contract.
- US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Ft Worth – DAWSON is proud to have been awarded the $10M Construction Phase Support Services SATOC for the USACE Fort Worth. Billy Cress, P.E., Director of Operations at DAWSON, commented “This contract is a great win for DAWSON and we are very excited with the opportunity to serve the Fort Worth district and demonstrate the Kupono Ka Hana (Excellence in Service) that defines the DAWSON culture.”

- DAWSON Establishes Regional Office in Massachusetts – In an effort to expand DAWSON capabilities to the northeast region of the US, DAWSON is pleased to announce the opening of it’s office in Lawrence, Massachusetts, a small suburb of Boston. This office will serve as the hub for our regional operations and enable DAWSON to better serve our growing clients in this part of the country.
- Mentor-Protégé Award with Charter Environmental – DAWSON is pleased to announce the SBA acceptance of the DAWSON-Charter into the Mentor-Protégé program. This relationship further positions DAWSON to leverage our capabilities into the Northeastern part of the country and do so with the support of our new mentor, Charter Environmental. Chris Dawson, President of DAWSON, commented that “DAWSON is extremely excited to be aligned with such a successful enterprise in Charter and we are extremely excited to see what the future brings to this great team.”

- Coordinated and Sponsored Army Polo Benefit Matches to raise money for the Association of the U.S. Army (AUSA). These events also raised awareness of the Wounded Warrior program to provide therapeutic equestrian services to our veteran soldiers in Hawaii.
